I do miss having the "Blues" since I retired from the Air Force...I did find it hard after all those years to have to learn how to pick what I'm going to wear for the day...in the AF days, it was easy...blues or camoflauge! Fantastic..........wish I had the room to keep some, along with a couple wild mustangs. Thought about buying a ranch a couple of times, something around 2000 acres and working......but never did. Got a friend with a 500 acre ranch, but because the land is so poor it will only support 23 head of cattle and 1 horse..........though it does have good water. Maybe some day.........

The flamingos are the best part! That picture was taken May 2004, my first road trip on a cycle. Road the 150 miles in cold rain. We were in Baldwin for the annual blessing. The private land that we camp on has an area that we affectionately call the "Bad Lands". My brother and many friends have been camping here for years. A great group of people come here to relax, most are from the Detroit area. The 4th of July bash is huge. The flamingos live there year round.

Was a USAF law enforcement trooper from '88-'95. Couldn't take Billy boy's military any more (something about not having enough bullets to shoot our weapons for two years finally got to me) and I decided to make a change. Decision was made at the 10yr mark, but Uncle Sugar being what is, they wouldn't let me quit my job for another year after that.

No regrets on my service, and no regrets on my decision to seperate. Well, maybe just one tiny little one; always wanted to be a Chief. Nothing finer and little is more revered in my eyes. Came up under the last of the old brown shoes (my first Chief was a Staff Sgt the year I was born) and they quickly educated me on the difference between an E9 and a Chief. I loved those men like fathers and am thankful for their influence in my life everday.

Nope. I was hanging out with a bunch of bikers I met on the internet. One of them had a friend whom invited us over to his house in Surfside Beach for a cookout. The car, a hurst, belonged to the guy hosting the cookout. Yeah, it caught my interest when we pulled up to the house. I looked through the pictures I have to see if there was a better one of the car. Sorry, I couldn't find one.

had a friend in highscool that had a hurst, and casket in back , we all dressed in black and crashed the home coming parade, lots of fun , hated the jocks

Hey thanks GOTWA, yes being a chief was quite a ride (8 years). While my whole career was satisfying the things I was able to do as a chief and the ability to help others much more easily was really cool. I would have done 30 years but I was being forced to move and didn't want to leave paradise. So, the decision was easy to call it a day and move on to the next chapter. No regrets.

thank you for your years of service, we are what we are today because of you and all the other military folks that gave there time to serve. I too am a much better person for having served. I'd do it ALL the same way again if I could.

I see your in WA I was stationed at McChord from 91-98. loved the place.
