I know a lot of you guys have forward controls, but I prefer mid mounts. If there’s anyone else out there that likes mid mounts, you might be interested in these pegs.

I had heard a lot about Kuryakyn ISO™-Stirrups, so
I installed a set of the #8075 ISO-Stirrups with Large ISO-Pegs. They list for 99.95, I paid 79.95.

On long rides my feet would begin to hurt (not until long after my butt though) and a Honda guy mentioned that he had these on his bike. He said it should take care of the problem. So, I installed ‘em, and have had them on for a couple of weeks. They were really easy to install and went on in no time. A circlip pliers set will help.

They are really comfortable and I notice that my feet don’t get tired anymore. They isolate vibration (what vibration, it’s a rubber mount for crying out loud!) and the stirrup supports the back of your foot.

On the downside, from the pic you can see that they stick out a little bit. I’m having to get used to bumping my shins on them occasionally if I don’t watch it when I stop at a light or something. Also, when I reach for the kickstand, the left side one gets in the way a bit. Might have to get a kickstand extension. With the huge HD brake pedal/peg mount on the right, that one really seems to stick out. Haven’t dragged the pegs yet so I don’t know if they’ll be in the way then. The right side folds all the way up, but the shifter side contacts the derby cover when folded. I guess this could be a problem if the bike was laid down. Don’t know which would give first, the peg mount or the cover. Since I’m really hoping to not lay it down, I hope I never find out.

So far these are really cool. If I have any problems down the road, I’ll post ‘em.

Melanie I put them on my bike last summer, and although I love them, I have the same problems with the left one being in my way of reaching the kickstand. I too got the large, but then wished I bought the small. Oh well. Now that I've been riding with them for several thousand miles I don't know what I'd do without them.

P.S. - If you get a set of the highway pegs and a more comfy seat, you'll be able to ride that bike all day long without any issues.

Xena,

I'm looking seriously at a Mustang Solo. They look pretty good....and the price aint bad either, I think it's about 178.00 at JP Cycles. Haven't shopped around much yet....Need to search the forum here and see if anyone has one and what they think of it....

I'm getting those too. Everyone who has them seems to love them. Kuryakyn also makes a model, I think it's called the Switchblade, where you can fold the heel rest up to the peg to get it out of the way if you want. It doesn't have as big a pad for your heel, though.

MailmanJohn,
You don't have any problem with them dragging? I looked at getting a set of them, too. I saw a pic of Xena's bike and I really thought they'd be comfortable. After seeing them in person, I was afraid they would drag in corners with my forward controls.
Thanks,
RLS

Got these on my forwards also. I love them and only dragged once on a high right hander. The Mustang solo should be awesome. I have the one piece two up and it is heavenly. Just ask pquirk how long I stay in the saddle. I try to get every drop outta the tank into the jugs. :-)

I think I paid around 75 for them on ebay not including shipping. Can't remember the vendor, but here is an auction for a set. Iso pegs w heel rests (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4555753586&category=35565&sspagename=WDVW)

daesdaemar,

Direct Line Parts Inc., toll free 888-693-1011, ask for Chris. He can get anything in the Drag Specialties Fat Book overnite. He sells really low, and will match any bonafide catalog price...I've gotten several things from him lately....Since he's local to me, I don't even pay any shipping charges, I just pick 'em up.
