View Full Version : 1/4 mile et. last night TnG 22nd September 2007, 16:11 Finally got to run it. 12.15 108 mph 1450' elevation gearhead1972 22nd September 2007, 16:54 very nice run Dasmopar 23rd September 2007, 05:42 Yes Very NICE!!! Can you post up your time slip? 60ft, 330, 1/8th and so on? TnG 23rd September 2007, 18:32 I'l spend some time tonight to try and figure out how to post this, for now, here is the numbers. r/t .344 60' ....1.868 330' ..5.02 1/8 ...7.713 MPH ..90.51 1000..10.088 1/4 ..12.158 MPH 107.73 Fourcats 23rd September 2007, 18:54 :clap The R/T may be a bit slow, BUT the ET is great. :clap TnG 23rd September 2007, 19:04 Agreed on the R/T, but it was my first time there, and I wasnt' really too concerned with R/T, I ws just curious what kind of ET I could get. The funny part was, I entered the Bracket class and took 3rd. My best R/T was a .073 (read Lucky) which got me a buy in the next round, there were some peeved metric bike riders sround there...... One guy on a CBR600 ran me 3 times cause he just couldn't believe a Harley was in front of him on the big end of the track! TnG 24th September 2007, 15:50 I'm on the left, metric on right....http://xlforum.net/photopost/data/500/time_slip.jpg seajay 24th September 2007, 16:04 Great #'s. Are you running stock 1200 gearing? TnG 24th September 2007, 16:18 I am running stock gearing, hoping to find someone that did an 883 conversion that has thier 883 gearing sitting in the garage. I'd like to buy it. I wouldn't use it for everyday use, but I'd sure like to run in the 11's once! scott494 24th September 2007, 16:20 weird how it works, your reation time was slower then his and at all the speed markes he was faster, yet you still won...awesome! seajay 24th September 2007, 16:26 The reason I asked, is, I'm just running the 28t(883) trans sprocket. It is noticably quicker. Switching might get you into the 11's. TnG 24th September 2007, 16:35 That's what I'm really hoping for, do you run it full time (28t sprocket) or just for "race day" seajay 24th September 2007, 16:47 I'm just a light to light guy:D . I run it(28t) all the time. About 2900 rpm at 60mph, 3500 rpm at 70 and 4400 rpm at 90. You can still use the 1200 belt. chopperdave 25th September 2007, 02:19 weird how it works, your reation time was slower then his and at all the speed markes he was faster, yet you still won...awesome! but if look at the 60' the sporty was better(faster) and that xdown track and is why the won :banana for us that is where the race is won or not TnG 25th September 2007, 03:42 Yeah there was a huge difference in '60 times in every race, and that was the difference. Once these guys get to a point they can keep the front wheel down look out! I had a chance to do some 300' drags Sunday, there was a metric bike there with a guy that could really ride, he'd roll out about 10', lift the tire about 6" and hold it there to the finish line. I'd still get him enough on the line that he couldn't catch me in 300', too much fun! Horace18 25th September 2007, 13:54 Their unreal times. I'm running in the low 13's with the high 30T international gearing and stock engine internals. Plan to drop the front gear to a 28T next year to get into the 12's. I won the street bike bracket on Saturday night just gone, purely cause I can drop the clutch on the limter at the lights and just go. All the jappa's I'm against wheelie, or spin up the rear and can't get anywhere near as consistent as me. Every run on Saturday was within 0.1 sec of each other. Love it:banana chopperdave 2nd October 2007, 01:21 Their unreal times. I'm running in the low 13's with the high 30T international gearing and stock engine internals. What was the track and weather conditions like? TnG 2nd October 2007, 03:16 Wish I could tell you more, but all I can say is it wasn't raining! Just kidding..... Temp was good, about 65-70 deg. Seemed to have all the traction I needed. I'm about halfway (2 hrs.) from two tracks and I'm told the other track (Woodburn OR.) is worth close to .2, so this isn't known as a fast track. Woodburn isn't doing anymore Fri. night drags this year though. Sleeper 2nd October 2007, 14:51 Wish I could tell you more, but all I can say is it wasn't raining! Just kidding..... CT1200 2nd October 2007, 14:58 Maybe if he had a new rear tire he'd be in the 11s. ;-) Your getting some rep, good times man. racerwill 2nd October 2007, 15:49 outstanding!..... he left first but you outpowered and out drove him all the way down the track...... as far as the 883 gears......most folks that convert, keep the gears cuz its so much quicker...... you're off to a good start.....next thing ya know, you'll have a track tire and another timing mark for the race fuel...... What gear are you in at the finish? 4th or 5th? Cool. I've been thinking about going up or down one tooth size on the front pulley. I'm not sure if I want a little more top end or a little more bottom end. Maybe I'll just leave it stock. I'm happy with the stock gears so far. Later, Mark __________________________________________________ 2007 olive/black 1200N http://s159.photobucket.com/albums/t124/mrochette/ TnG 10th November 2007, 05:04 In all honesty, the stock gearing is really nice for all around riding. The only use I have for the gearing I'm talking about is the quarter mile and the short drags we have here in town. With the new clutch and better gearing I'm hoping for a mid 11 pass. Infidel 10th November 2007, 08:14 Wow, no really I don't think I need to get any where that quik, but to think I can. :D |
