chains and caps

I just put on a 23 tooth front sprocket on my 82 ironhead and the old chain is way to short. we figured we needed 112 teeth but will a 530QRx112 be the same width as the OEM chain??? Will it fit??? Also mounting a 5 gallon split tank, it probably came off a softail, really don't know :yikes ...have all the brackets made and tank is ready for paint...need to hook up with some caps for it...not sure what type will fit. It's the older type caps with the two blades on the inside...any info or advice would be great. :tour

not sure what QR is but you gotta watch the clearance under the "kicker cover" on my 72 an "o" ring chain won't fit and I had to grind out some metal on the inside of the cover for the 23 tooth gear

Same here, fitted a 23T and the case cover needed some clearance work. Nothing major ,just some grinding.
