I want to relocate my front turn signals to the lower triple trees with turn signal relocation kit 68517-94A. How hard will this be ? Is there any electrical wiring that needs to be altered.

It isn't too bad a job. I spliced in about six inches of wire to make the reach, but this may not have been necessary.

After looking at it again, there may be enough slack already. There is a plate covering the wiring below the spedo. If I had rerouted the signal wires out the bottom, they probably would have reached. I measured from the top and had to add wire.

Somewhere on the list is a project to re-route new wires without the splice. I have four foot sections of heat-shrink tubing, but that is as far as I have gotten.

Thinking about doing the same thing with my 1200R. I think it looks great.
I am just wondering though how vintage it would look? I want the bike to keep the retro look it has now.

I just used it and didn't splice, I just relocated them and used the zip ties to tie up the slack, and there was plenty of slack. On '04s there is no need to cut the harness.

I relocated mine with brackets from J P Cycle. It's an 04 1200R. I did same thing as SportsterSpive, had lots of extra wire, no need to cut or splice anything.

Thanks that's good news no need to splice, COOL ! I'm changing the bars to mini apes and want to try and do most of the work myself. The other concern is splicing the switch wiring which I might just let the dealer do. The brake line, throttle cable and idle cable shouldn't be too bad either.
