View Full Version : Best Heat Shield for Nearby Wires?

I am adding a custom exhaust to one of my bikes, which comes very close to a starter relay that has two wires within about an inch and a half from the new header pipe.

what is the best insulator to use to prevent the wires from melting?

there is some space for me to add some type of shield, perhaps an aluminum sheet formed to fit and mount to either a frame piece or the battery box, but I am unsure of what to use for material....also, I was thinking perhaps I could use an aluminum sheet with some material applied to one side to act as an insulated heat shield.

Any ideas????? Anyone????
