I'm prepping my rims for powder coat, and the inside of my front rim has a very healthy layer of rust. I'm going at it with a wire brush, but what can I do to make sure it doesn't come back and affect the powder coat?

If they are good powder guys, they would do that anyway. I was going to suggest ketchup and aluminum foil. You heard me right. Ketchup and aluminum foil.

Ok Man, I gotta know about ketchup and aluminium foil. I clean chrome with
Turtle wax chrome cleaner and 0000 steel wool.

this article talks about "washing soda" and ketchup:

but i've used ketchup on the rust and the aluminum foil just like you would use the steel wool. Works dandy......
