I'm still runnin' a stock seat on my 04 custom. I want To get One Of the cool
old school style spring seats but I'm just curious If They're any less comfortable than the stock seats. Anybody got any opinions? I'm lookin'
Your way TN sportster, because I see You got one. :D

The modern renditions of the old-school sprung seats are very comfortable. I had one on my FLHS for years, loved it.

IMO, the only thing less comfortable than a stock seat would be no seat at all.

:yikes

havn't rode on it yet, but I have an old style smooth solo on my trumpit and it seems really comfy just sittin on it in the shop , my worry is if its gonna be too slippery and that I might slide right off the back of it

but that will be something I will have to find out after I get her back up and runnin

by the way , that big ass sprung seat I have on my flatty is "da bomb" for comfort

Cool,
Thats good to hear, I just didn't want to shell out a ton of dough for a super
uncomfortable seat when I could just get a mustang. Thanks for the replies
fellas. by the way, I saw the pic of your trumpit flathead. What a freakin cool
ride!

Tony check this one out. I put one of these on a friends bike and it was real comfortable on 150 mile trips. It's a little thicker padding than alot of spring type solo's out there. Check this place out too they have over 10 styles of solo's www.lickscycles.com

How does this seat attach? You bolt a couple brackets on that connect to the seat.

Here's a pic of one of the licks seat with its hardware:

Butt my butt was kinda sore after a recent 5 hour ride on it!

It's STILL WAAAY more comfy than the stock seat!

yeah I Sat on TNsportsters seat, and personally it sucked to me, mostly cause my but was bigger than the seat....and I think i actually bottomed out the springs too...

The problem is, IMO, that you can't really shift around on it - it holds you in one spot, which, combined with forward controls, really locks you into position.

Oh - Mark: My springs bounced back just fine!!!

You can get different size springs 2" 3" 4" ect.
