Just put one of these on my sporty last Saturday. These mo-dickers ARE loud. The advertisement sez they are four times louder than the original horn. (I can fart louder than the stock horn!!). :D The advertisement sez it can be installed in 20 minutes. Took me a couple of hours cuz I tried to do a nice looking job. They are dual trumpets with a low pressure, high volume compressor and no storage tank. I mounted the compressor between the downtubes towards the top. I originally ordered the horns for my E-Glide thinking they would be to obtrusive and look out of place on the XL, but the upper trumpet is about 8" long and the lower is about 6" long. They look good and sound better. I do like them so well that I'm ordering another set for my other scoot. While out riding on Sunday, a lady with a little dog wuz backing out of her parking spot without looking behind her. I blew those thangs at her and her dog jumped so high his head bounced off of the roof of her van. :laugh She came to a dead stop and glared. We motored on laughing our arses off. :tour

I want a louder horn and would love an air horn but have seen those on a Sporty and they are just too big for my taste. Does the company have a smaller set?

Just go to the Rivco website and they have several horn kits available. Electric and Air Horns. Also, several companies make air horns for Harley's. Rivco's were the smallest set that I've seen.

I ordered that stuff from JC Whitney and sent the stuff back because of the shi :censor y chrome job. Also, no heat shielding on the wire loom and hose and no bracket to install it. Sorry MrJimi :frownone .......but the Rivco's are a couple of inches shorter than the Whitney's. :D Also.....I returned that stuff a couple of weeks ago, and they still haven't credited my debit card as of this writing....... :frownthre
Oh yeah, the compressor is much smaller also, and can be mounted 4 feet from the trumpets if'n ya wants. The mounting bracket also holds the trumpets together.
July 2, 2005: I just ordered another one for my E-Glide from Rivco. :D
(My pension check got deposited yesterday!!!!!) :clap
