Couple of forum members got together for a local poker run. Hot as hell but I had a blast. It is always nice to meet people you talk with on the forums.
The bikes, in order from left to right are ChuckP's, RLStone's and then mine. The fellahs are RLStone and Chuck P

RLStone checking out ChuckP's Apes... I hear complaints about the SE pipes, but his bike sounds good with 'em.

I like this one, it shows the wide range of styles. ChuckP has the apes, no front fender, signals deleted while RLStone's bike looks almost stock and mine is morphing into more of a drag look.

I'm a bit boiled myself, but it was worth it! Had a great time riding with you guys, hope to do it again soon! Preacher, thanks for lunch - next one's on me! Thanks for the compliment on the pipes, they sound much better now that the baffles are out :smoke
Nice shots, by the way. It was very cool to see the different takes on the sporty lined up side by side!

Preacher, great pics. I had a lot of fun riding with you and Chuck, but man was it hot!! I sunburned my bald noggin', but it was worth it. Let's get some more locals involved and do it again. Thanks for lunch, too.
By the way, how did you guys do with the poker hands?

Our poker hands sucked just enough to lose, but not bad enough for the boobie prize.
You and I both had a pair of Jacks. Too bad we couldn't combine them. ;)

I'm ready for another one A.S.A.P! Next time, let's pick a destination and make it an XLForum event. I'd be up for riding the Dragon :tour

I had a queen and NOTHING else. That's usually the way it goes for me on those things.

Let's make it a long ride to help you break your new seat in!
What dates look good to you guys? I'm thinking a ride to the mountains and back, maybe a few hundred miles?

Sounds like a winner to me. We can do the Tail of the Dragon (Deals Gap) but I am not draggin nothin... ;) One wreck up there is enough for me, I'll take it slow & easy, enjoy the scenery.
Why not say... The weekend of July 30. We can leave early Saturday morning (7-ish) and stop for breakfast along the way. Pick up whatever members live out that way on the outbound leg and drop them off on the way back. I know we have some Western NC folks on the list.

My sister is in town that weekend so I'd be out. I can do the one before or the one after.

No worries, that is why we discuss this ahead of time. Hopefully others will chime in and let us know when they are free to ride.
