My daughter just sent me an old pic of her husband's old Sporty. Don't know what year it is ... but it looks pretty cool. He sold it quite some time ago.

Not '73,they were the first year for front disc brake with the big banana caliper.
It has to be '71 to '72 with a cone motor engine case and a drum brake(providing it's the stock front end) '70 & earlier had a distributer or mag on the engine instead of the cone with the points inside.
'73 and later were disc brake and '74 was the last year for English(right side) shifter.

:laugh :laugh :laugh I hear ya with the mini-van....I held fast, I only conceded to a 4-door Jimmy S-15, wife could'nt get me any further than that...thanks for clearin that up Y2K, I was'nt sure, and did'nt feel like lookin in the book...lol

could be anything from 71-76 , hard to say as that front is not stock (looks like a midglide)

75-76 had a left side shifter but it was done with linkages so by removing the linkages you could have a right side shift

I would still go with y2k and say a 71 or 72 as a guess (use a midglide with the stock front tire to save money)
