If the title is indeed good, I would think so....

Yikes, thats downright frightening.
I'd be afraid it has been molested by amateurs. Customized frame? I don't think 71's had the 1000cc engines yet. Anyway you could sell all that stuff for $1000 bucks but you have to wonder why nobody has put it back together.

Nah, there are all kinds of reasons to take bikes apart and not put them back together. Guys get in over their head. That's well worth a thousand bucks--frames with titles routinely sell on ebay for $500 plus, and then the buyer has to pay the shipping.
Buy it. Pull the engine apart. It it's in rough shape, part it out and make at least a thousand bucks, take the money and buy a $2000 bike (I'm seeing more of those around lately--is it the economy?).
If that was in the Seattle area it would already be sold, and I would have bought it.

1972 was the first year for the 1000. Either it was converted (requires machining of cases) or the frame/engine don't match.
There should be VIN's on 1970+ frames...

Or the guy's just wrong about the displacement. I'd take that for a grain of salt.
Good idea to check the title against the frame numbers, though, and it's a bonus if the engine # matches.

I would go see what it looks like and buy it. A lot canbe done with the right pile of junk.

I'd give a grand for it, but am too far away.

Probably worth it, but I think I'd save myself some aggravation and save up for something more complete/together.

Looks like he has some of the little BS pieces that I am missing. 1000 bucks is a good deal with 2 frames. He is probably wrong about the displacement.

Be careful on the road to Kingman.... I have had friends killed on it... I think this might be worth the drive... about 3 hours round trip barring road construction.
