View Full Version : Ironhead Clutch cable ferrule

So I decide to ditch the foot clutch for now and Im wondering if anyone has the picture of the stock clutch cable ferrule for a 73 ironhead. I just got the lever and im not sure if mines is the correct one, the PO hacked up my bike pretty good. Thanks for the help

I've bought two new clutch cables for my '72. (To fit two different handlebars) and the new cables came with the ferrals already on them. I'll see if I can get a pic, after dinner.

Here's a couple shots to show both ends. The ferrel on the lever end is one that uses a repair kit. I doesn't use the nylon bushings and slip in pivot. Instead it has a pivot that has a screw on one end to tighten up on the cable. The cable is flared out and soldered with a big soldering iron.

The stock ferral looks pretty much like the other end and slips into a split notch.

At the lever, mines is not even close thanks for the pics oldnavy, I will try to make mines work, if I cant i will use the Stickies to repair thanks for the link Thanks Mick.
