They kinda look like a modified buckhorn. sleezyrider 22nd December 2004, 05:11 You may be referring to the bars on the 883. They kinda look like a modified buckhorn. yeah, the 05 883low has a kinda of a pullback bar and is a bit wider sleezyrider 22nd December 2004, 22:58 I went to HD today, bought the bars for 2005XL883L (low) $75.00, clutch cable on the o4 will fit and the throtle cables also, had to buy a braided front brake line, and got some ISO grips with the throtle rocker, total $222.00 MilwaukeeMike 15th January 2005, 21:08 I put some pull backs on my 04 , ordered from J&P. Prob I had was speedo doesn't reach. As a temp problem solver, I used small radiator clamps, and a couple bolts thru the speedo to hold lower. Looking for some windsheild clamps to fix proper. Or as the dealer tried to sell me a new speedo for a couple hundred. I have to fight wife tooth and nail to get anything extra for the bike. LVBOATDOC 16th January 2005, 15:09 I had an issue with the low bars also on my 04 883. I orders some risers from Drag that also kicked back and installed them with the oringial bars. Didn't have to buy new cables either. I also relocated the speedo back over head light. To do this I used some chrome fuel line and made spacer and bolted the speedo housing to the headlight mounts. To complete the project I install the chrome housing and extended ring for a real nice custom look. Tried to post the pics but having problems. If you email me I can forward some pics. xena 16th January 2005, 15:44 Sleezy I see you already got your parts, but for others who are interested, here's what I did to my 04' a couple months after I got the bike: 4" pullback risers - 40.00 ebay (drag specialties branded) turn sig reloc. kit - 30.00 jp cycle (moves turn sigs to forks) frt braided brake line - 60.00 ebay Speedo wouldn't reach without modifications, so I relocated the speed/tach to the top of the headlamp with some chrome tubing. Easy mod for approx. 130 dollars. I liked the way the stock bars looked, the reach was just too much for me so this did the trick and didn't cost a bunch of money. I'm only 5'4" so naturally I've got short arms to match my height. This mod made it much easier to reach the bars without fatigue and I see no need to change bars unless you don't like the style of the stock ones. toadster 16th January 2005, 16:49 Hey Lvboatdoc, could you post some pics ? I've got to put pulllback on my 04 but I have speedo problems also... :( sleezyrider 16th January 2005, 17:04 Sleezy I see you already got your parts, but for others who are interested, here's what I did to my 04' a couple months after I got the bike: 4" pullback risers - 40.00 ebay (drag specialties branded) turn sig reloc. kit - 30.00 jp cycle (moves turn sigs to forks) frt braided brake line - 60.00 ebay Speedo wouldn't reach without modifications, so I relocated the speed/tach to the top of the headlamp with some chrome tubing. I have the exact same color and model yours is, but I have a windshield.. just wondering, and could you post a pic from the front looking back over the bars? thanks Robert JaggedEdge 16th January 2005, 17:24 Here is my '05 XL 883 Low with stock bars, speedo/tach and HD windscreen. I have the exact same color and model yours is, but I have a windshield.. just wondering, and could you post a pic from the front looking back over the bars? thanks Robert Robert you're probably right, this type of setup prob wouldn't work with a windshield. toadster 16th January 2005, 21:34 HEY xena, was the brake line for master to short for the pull back or was it cosmetic for changing it...the speedo move looks real good. :D toadster 16th January 2005, 21:37 Oh wait a minute I see it now .the brake cable is braided... xena 16th January 2005, 21:55 Toadster, hehe, I like your handle! Yes, the mast. cyl brake line was way too short so it had to be replaced. The entire thing only cost me around 130 though and it was easy as pie to do. LVBOATDOC 18th January 2005, 14:55 I didn't have to change mine, just rebent it a little. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/lvboatdoc/ee261f2a.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/lvboatdoc/c7c2381b.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/lvboatdoc/bb76d0d5.jpg willprevale 18th January 2005, 15:03 I put the 883l bars on mine. I used the 41/2" pullback risers. Best set up I've ever had. FWIW handling has improved dramatically. You need to use a 38" front brake line. I love the eyebrow setup and I think it would work with the windshield but I'd like to have a windshield bag. I'll be looking for some kind of different speedpo but I'd also like to retain the indicator lights. Any ideas? alleydude 18th January 2005, 15:21 Alright LVBOATDOC, what's that hot rod in the background??? :spineyes LVBOATDOC 18th January 2005, 15:42 Alright LVBOATDOC, what's that hot rod in the background??? :spineyes Its a 23 Ford bucket T I have being building, has a 406 Chevy motor in it.
