I know this maybe more than Y'all wanted to know here but I know AMF caught a bad rap back in the day but I'll have to say mine must have been built during the middle of the week.Also notice it came from Hell Harley the last 3#'s on my driver license is 666 the last 3#'s on my Vietnam Veterans Of America members card is 666 and my unit patch in the Nam looked like a pitch fork the 4th Trans Batt

    I have the 1973 XLCH also. Got it from a friend of mine with 900 miles on it back in 1974. Had it a year and it was stolen. Got a call a year later from an Alabama State Trooper who found it. I got it back and have had it ever since. I love that bike.

    nice read ezmerf, I got my first ironhead 3 yrs ago I enjoy riding it more then my newer no soul evo and plan to hand it ove to my 4 yr old when he graduats high school (or find another to build up with him as he may well be much larger then I).Had to sell my 73 to fund the 77 rebuild.Cheers!!
