Default No tach and alarm light on after battery off

Hi all,
I have been working on my 06, 883R this weekend, she is now a 1200, I followed the service manual and removed the main fuse and now when I start the bike my tach is not working, I fitted it some time ago and have had no problems with it, and the red alarm key light on the speedo stays after the bike starts, I have checked all connections I disconnected during the work and can find no problems, anyone have any ideas ?

Cheers

Steve

Have found the answer to this one, although all connections looked ok when I opened the deusch connector to the instruments several of the pins had slipped back, the retaining orange piece was not fully seated and where I had pushed the wiring about it was able to break the connections, hope this may be of some help to someone in the future.

Steve.

great that you got it fixed. electrical gremlins are my worst nightmare. In my case it's always the last thing i check that's the problem and i've started pulling my hair out!

I'll have to remember just cause some things work, still check the connectors!
