Default Pink wire for the coil - Which side does it go on?

Does the pink wire for the coil go to the left or to the right terminal? I had marked this when I did my conversion but maybe I marked it wrong.

If I wired it worng coul dthis be the reason why my key will not go to the IGN position?

Doesn't the manual say?!?!?

no...it shouldn't affect the key mechanically moving....

Switching that polarity WILL hurt your ignition, somewhere...

Did not have it with me at the time. Looked it up once I got to The Frappers house and it does show pink on the right (or #2) terminal.

Polarity reversal will have no effect.

Doesn't matter what side. Whites should be on the other, that's all. The wiring of the coil does not affect the mechanical ability of the key to turn the switch to IGN.

Nice new name for the bike

Default which right??

Are we talking right as you are sitting on the bike or looking at it? I have a basket case that I am putting together and need to know the same thing. Does the pink go on the post that relates to the plug wire for the front or rear cylinder?

The primary side (pink and white wires) and secondary side (plug wires) are not related at all as far as the position of the wires. Doesn't matter. Swap them from side to side (pink and white) and see what happens.

Thumbs up

On my 2001 pink wire left side sitting on bike, or as previously stated same side of coil as #1 plug wire. Hope this clears it up.
