Same here. I have a thread gauge, and use a pair vernier callipers (sounds posh, but they're just cheap ones) to measure diameters.

If you go to Diamond Enginnering's website and scroll down a bit you'lll see the pdf section with Sportster Kits. They do kits for just about every part of Sportsters - the only problem is setting yourself a budget and sticking to it. A phone call may be better than e-mail with them. I called them direct and they shipped to me in England without problem and I found them good to deal with.

My parts manual has a "Hardware Listing" towards the back that cross-references part numbers to bolt diameters and thread rates for all fasteners except what might be termed specials.
