If anyone could help me out..... I have a 88 HD XLH 1200 that starting knocking one day when I got off the highway. I have no compression lost, it rode fine on the way home and no lost of performace. It had a oil change about 200 miles before with HD 20w and HD plugs installed at the same time. I know these EVO engines are noisy but something isn't right in this thing, the motor has aroung 16K original and I haven't really tore into it untill now I'm going to start. If anyone has any suggestions I am all ears. I have read allot of post and have some ideas now but curious if anyone had this happen to them.
Still crazy after all these years.
Late 87-883 Hugger/1380cc (84") conversion. Too many cool parts to list. Built engine on a fresh set of cases, so conversion might not really describe it. Estimated near 115 hp.
Early 87-883/1200 conversion. Wife's bike. SE heads, 1200 flat pistons, 40" Drag Pipes, everything else stock.
