Clutch cable replacement ?
Hey y'all Stoney here again.
I looked over the threads and stickies, and don't really see anything directed at my particular question ? Can anyone tell me what;s involved with changing a clutch cable ? Do I need new primary oil, do I need to readjust the clutch pack, and basically HOW do I do it ?? Oh, and do I need a new primary cover gasket ? I go right past a Harley parts place on the way home from work each night, so if I need something, I can just stop. Thanks much, you guys here on the forum ROCK !!!!

Perhaps a mod can move this thread to the "correct" place?
Perhaps "Sportster Motorcycle Era Specific and Model Specific (Ironhead Sportster Motorcycle Talk 1957 - 1985)
May get more replies than here!

Can you tell me the process for moving this thread ??? Or, how do I get to a moderator to have it moved? I appreciate anything you can tell me.

One would think the Mod's are going over these various posts.....
You could just go and copy and paste your original in the thread I mentioned, and ask that the Mod's delete this one.....

Thanks. I'll give that a shot. Be good, and thanks for keeping me straight. This forum thing is all new to me. I've been a member for about a year, but I don't spend much time here, and I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to navigating the site.

Yeah, you will need a new primary gasket, oil. And you will have to re adjust your clutch. You will have to take the cover off to install the new cable.
