Products like the turbulator are intended to increase turbulence in order to increase vaporization which is very important. Carbs primarily atomise fuel into tiny droplets and intake heat begins the vaporization and processes inside the combustion chamber provide the rest. It is never a perfect process and there is something to be gained by improving the vaporization process. Increasing turbulence inside the combustion chamber is generally how it is done. Increasing turbulence in the intake tract is generally a bad idea. It reduces flow and has the potential to knock fuel out of suspension and decrease vaporization. That is why you see virtually no carb, efi, car or motorcycles doing much in this area. They know the theory and have huge budgets for R&D and test concepts like this constantly.

Products like the power X wing are intended to increase velocity in the intake tract primarily to increase the signal strength to the carbs metering devices. The concept has been around for almost as long as carbs have. They are also referred to as boosters as in signal boosters. As far as boosters go, the power X wing is a crude device.
Increasing and even decreasing signal strength is a tuning device and I have worked with both when needed.
Generally you need more signal strength when intake velocity is too low because the carb is too big.
Generally you want less signal strength to help fight the negative influence of reversion.
In a package like you have, the carb maker and the bike maker have already put a great deal of effort into determining signal strength needs.
In a best case scenario a booster is a crutch and unless the intake flow of both the carb and the intake tract is more than it needs to be, boosters reduce peak power.

I dyno tested an x wing and it made zero power!! In fact it actually lost power at some rpms. These are facts not assumptions.

The X-wings are made of some nice material, kinda wish I hadn't thrown it away. However.I do give a thumbs up to the TwinShot. It seemed to have cured the carb farts.

i run a power wing and like it i think wear i noticed the difference in the very bottom end along with the twin shot i bought but Dan has Dino tested it no extra power seen on the Dyno, but my bike is a 03 which has the worst heads of all the sportsters and i think thats why it made a difference in my bike ,and what maru said is true i think the only reason you wont see a number change is most dyno don't start to do pulls till 2500-3000 so does it work for me yes for other no that all i can say but i do really like the twin shot works great gets ride of carb farts .

The twin shot seems to be a nice product and I have heard nothing but positives about it.

Thank you all
I appreciate the informative answers. I am looking for better mileage and more power on a budget. As is my bike get's up and goes pretty quick but I still think that it could be better. Don't want to do cams or anything too invasive yet. I have never heard of the "TwinShot" and you all seem to have good things to say about it so I am going to research it.
