Nightster BUB7 2into1
I've left the heatshields off cos I love the look of the headers as they yellow with the heat.... Love the sound.. annoyed with the bottom end. Mid and top end are great!

Interested to know if that eyelet helped with your reversion/flat spot Mike? Have a similar low down flat spot with my V&H 2-1. Will be looking more closely at fixes once my 1250 & dyno tune is done, if the problem is still there. The V&H quiet baffle/insert seems to have helped somewhat for now.
Slap.

hi
yes I think it did help a little... at this point I think I was using the v&h fuelpak and after installing the eyelet, I did feel a little more bottom end.
But now I am running a powervision and its tune and the bike runs quite well. The eyelet is still there and I did not try the powervision without the eyelet installed..
Just a bit too lazy to pull it out.
Plus the suspension is giving me the shits and I think I might sell the bike anyway.

I'm planning on building a custom 2-1 exhaust. I will be using a BUB header paired with a custom reverse cone muffler from cone engineering.
Muffler:
My main reason for the custom pipe is to gain some right hand lean angle, I'm sick of dragging my pipes in right turns.
I do love the look, sound, and WOT performance of the Bassani's though.
I would also like to pick up a little more low-mid range power, the finished exhaust should look something like this, minus the upswept transition piece:
or this:
Hopefully I don't run into any reversion issues with this set-up...

These are mine. No ground clearance issues...
I used a heat shield from a Mossberg 500 shotgun for a heat shield. True shotgun pipes!
