Tons of parts
Changed direction on how I want to finish my project build. I bought all new sheetmetal and a bunch of other parts a few years ago, never got time to finish and now I want to build a hardtail. All parts are from or for my 77' XLH sportster
1. Drag Specialties QuickBob extended 2" longer rubber mount dash style tank Kit
Includes the tank, dash and base, speedo, keys, ignition cyclinder, mounting hardware, set of chrome gas caps, and a Pingel petcock
New the kit was 500 bucks and almost 75 for the pingel. Tank has some surface rust from sitting around, will cleanup fine. $250
2. V-Twin bobbed Rear Fender kit
Includes the fender which has never been finished or mounted, the matching chrome struts to fit the wider fender, the cateye taillight and chrome mounting plate, and a set of Mirage angular amber lens turn signals mounted to struts.
Was 225+ 40 for theturn signals.Will take $125
3. Custom Chrome tapered exhaust system(not drag pipes). Mounted but NEVER ran, also includes new chrome clamps and chrome mounting bracket. paid 3 bills, take $125
4. Mustang Fastback seat. Minor blemish bout size of a dime close to the nose on the side. $100
5. Front fender springer style for narrow glide 35 or 39mm forks, new, never mounted, came factory primered $50 FIRM
chrome swingarm $50 bucks
chrome coil shocks $50 includes all parts and bolts and mounts.
If someone wants to take everything, I will work out a sweet deal. As stated at top, all parts were purchased a few years ago. Some of the chrome parts will need a bit of minor polishing but should cleanup real nice by hand.
started digging through my boxes of parts, and found some other misc stuff
chrome 39mm fork turn signal mounts nib, $20
chrome battery cover/lid/strap, and factory battery tray $40
starter solenoid $25
chrome voltage regulator (original mechanical type) $40
eyebrow headlight mount and chrome cover. headlight casing and bulb $50
rear passenger footpegs and mounts. $30
brake cable assembly $20
drive chain $20
custom mount I machined up out of billet aluminium (needs to be polished) to mount a electronic style voltage regulator into the stock location on the battery tray side. $40
email me for pics of what your interested in, located in southern Connecticut, can ship, will take paypal

I actually have two now. But I have two original paint bikes that need one, a black one and a green one. When and if I find one of those, I will have an extra and will let you know.

I sent you a PM. Your PM box is full. Long story short, I'm interested, please keep me in mind when the time comes.

In need of a starter for my 74xlh, its the hitachi I believe. Also everything I need to add a kick start to it. If I can get all the parts for less than a new starter I think I'd rather just put the kicker on it and to hell with the electric!

I had good luck with two that i bought off eBay.
The lesson i eventually learned is that you must remove then re-install the caliper when removing/reinstalling the rear wheel. If you try to slide the rotor into an already mounted caliper the piston will get jammed in the process. As an extra "benefit" you have also a high probability of wrecking the hex holes for the nuts.
