happens all the time around here...the trucks don't want to go around and try the short route thru the mountains and this is the result. Someone (again) was killed on 129 2 weeks ago because he came around a corner and a semi was in his lane.

Rain here today, but the weekend is looking up. Sunday should be awesome...ride safe and enjoy!

Looks like you need to loosen up a bit. You look way too stiff.

That is a shame about the person getting killed, we tried riding today but got soaked, hopefully tomorrow and Sunday will hold out.

Default 209 to Hot Springs

looking for a fun ride that's as much, if not more better'n the Dragon? 209 from Waynesville to Hot Springs. Country Vittles in Maggie Valley is the place to EAT! Smoky Mt Steel Horse is a great shop in Waynesville. 28 moonshiner is the bomb. 1200R and XB12ss stored in Greenville, SC for the winter

I'll pin that on my google maps, thanks steve. I was just in Roanoke, VA and ran Tuggles Gap, very awesome road, along with the rest of Va's music trail, aka "The Crooked Road". Also Bent mountain is fun near Salem.

All of the above are great ridding we were there for a week in June. Not sure the exact location of "the devils triangle" but it was a twisty beast. We went through there carving it and I was spent after, but a good kinda spent.
We rode the dragon every day no problems with LEO until the last day headed home. I got stopped after passing him parked about four curves back. He was cool about it asked me if I had a gun I said yes. If vertical plates were legal in Arkansas I said yes. he siad they weren't in NC but he would check. He came back and said there were legal and told me to be safe and slow it down.

lucky man eggman. they hand alot of tickets out everyday! that's why I like other roads than the Dragon....less patrolling! hardly see a cop outside of the Robbinsville area. The Devils T is further NE and is a hoot too. Did you get on Wayah road outta Franklin....another sweetie! man I love the riding in the southern Appies!

we need to spend some time up here. I have a good buddy in Roanoke and he's been buggging me to come visit. The TN/VA border is as far N as we've been BUT next year we're riding to Nova Scotia!
