you can use whats called a noid light at the injector harness to check for the computer sending a pulse or turn the fuel on damn it signal.
Not sure what the spec is but if it's 55 and you have 53 it may not be enough to open the injector. I see that on some of the gm trucks especially the vortec 4.3 litre. If it's one pound low it will not start cold but may hot.
Not sure if HD injectors are so touchy of pressure.

I'm thinking the ECM went bad not sending the signal to the injectors?

so itook the tank off to drain gas, and it wa dripping, just a little, looked at the line ,and it was blown, someone had put a line that was not for fuel injection, and it was blocking the gas. !!!!!!so happy thanks to those who replied

Hello I have a 99 buell thunderbolt ddfi . I have spark, pulse and power to injectors.I also cleaned the injectors and have a nice even spray out of both on bench test. feed some fuel through spark plug holes and starts right up. but otherwise nothing. I have removed the fuel line off the tank and turned key on and pumps for a few seconds and quits. I thought it would pump until fuel pressure would build up.is this normal? what am I missing? scratching my head...thanks for any help

Yes it is normal for the fuel pump to run for only a few seconds when you turn the key on. Once the engine is running and fuel is demanded, it will run.
I currently have a similar issue, but mine starts fine when warm, but struggles when cold.

I also noticed when i removed fuel line from filter and let it drain into a can and then hit the key and pump kicked on for a few seconds and pumped fuel but it was real foamy looking like it was pumpng air through pump somehow...after this darn rain quits I am going to hook everything back up and put a fuel pressure guage on the shrader to see what pressure it shows. have a funny feeling i am not getting enough pressure....again thanks for any help of any kind.

okay...attached a fuel pressure guage to the shrader valve. turned key on and pump came on for a few seconds and pressure gained only a couple of pounds and then fell off to zero. I wasn't leaking off at the guage as I can tell as far as not on all the way. I turned the key on and off a few times to try and build some pressure to no avail...same results each time. Possibly a bad diaphram in pump? if it has one.......
