Default How hard is it to internally wire bars?

I am considering putting som biltwell z bars on my 48 and running the wires internally. Is it simply a matter of cutting, extending, and running the new wire? Any tips when doing this ?

Thx

It's not to tuff. You just have to take your time. I bought the wire extention kit through burly brand. Kinda makes it easy. Once you pull your wires our of the molex connector then they clip into the new ones and then those already have the pins on them to go into your molex connector. I recommend wiring your stock ones through the bars first if their long enough and then attach the extensions. Some INOX lubricant (non-electrical conducting) makes it easier to route through the bars.

tip with running the wires.

Get a vacuum cleaner and a piece of thread (a bit longer then the length between openings). Put the vacuum on one opening , turn it on and feed the thread thru the other opening. After it's thru, use the thread to pull a string thru. Use the string to pull the wires.

I suppose Z bars are a little more difficult too.

Other than having some patience when doing this, this tip is almost mandatory. The sharp turns of the z's can be a little testy when pulling wires. Avoid pulling hard on the wires as you move them through the bars; you don't want to cut into the insulating jacket and end up with an electrical short.
