Update: Replaced the throttle cables, did not lube the new cables. Bike ran fine for about a week, then last week, while riding home from work in 85°+ heat, the engine raced again, at the same exact spot, the same intersection, that it has done it at least 3 times before. I shut the bike down and sat there for 1 or 2 minutes, started back up and rode home (another 15 miles). The bike ran fine the rest of the way home.
