Default 21 Wheel

What factory harley 21 wheel will fit on 74 Ironhead front end. Should most of the later sportster models with a 21 work? I tried one from a FXST and a DYNA and the hub was to wide.

Try these guys out. I bought my rims off them 3 years ago, so far so good.

When thinking you are going to install a late model wheel on an older ironhead you must keep these three things in mind:
1) The width of the hub of the 'newer' wheel.

2) The bolt pattern and bolt radius of your disc for the front brake compared to the same on the 'newer' wheel.

3) The diameter of your present axle compared to that on a 'newer' wheel.

I can assure you that you are far better off to use the hub you have, which fits your front end now.
Just buy a 21 inch rim, spokes and nipples from Buchanan and build your own wheel. You will be money ahead and have just what you want.
