Default oil line routing to the pump

Trying to assemble a basket case and need to know which oil line is the feed and which one is the return on the oil pump on a 91 Sportster? There are two hoses coming off the pump one to the front of the bike and one to the rear.

Default

On my 94, there are 3 lines coming off the pump.

The lower one on the back of the bowl is the feed.
The lower one on the front of the bowl goes to the filter.
The upper one on the side is the return to the tank.
