Odyssey batteries

I'm gonna be getting an odyssey batter for my 2003 XL 1200C. The recommended part number is PC545. But this battery has different posts than the stock battery posts. My question is do I need to by some type of battery post adapter or do you guys just use the post the way they are on the odyssey battery.
