It was only expressed as an option or a choice that they as a couple could choose. it is their right, and it is an option, but lets not start down that road,.....please.

It was finding out that my wife was pregnant that got me finally getting off my backside and buying myself a proper motorcycle - it's my man-therapy. A bit of alone time where only I am in charge, and I'm only in charge of myself. So I advise against sacrificing the bike, you'll regret it.
On the plus side, having a kid made me see life with a much more healthy bit of perspective. Was I ready? Well as others here have said, no-one ever feels ready. There were lots of reasons we shouldn't have, but after it's over, you'll know what love really is - I mean the sort of love where you'll run through a burning house fully aware you won't survive if you thought your child would be made safe. Scary, when-she-brings-her-first-boyfriend-round-he'd-better-not-be-an-asshole-or-I'll-kill-him sort of love.
In short, it makes a chap mad. But it's a good kind of mad. You'll never know until you've tried it. It can't be that bad, I'm about to have number two, why would I have done that if it was awful.

My wife got pregnant on our honeymoon. She became very sick and almost died as a result of the pregnancy. The Dr. delivered at 25 weeks. My son was born weighing 1lb 5oz, and was 11" long. My wife recovered. Adon stayed in the hospital for an additional 3.5 months. It was 3 weeks before my wife got to hold him; and 6 weeks before I got to. He was on oxygen for 10 months solid. He had laser surgery done on his eyes at 2 months old to save his vision from ROP. He was resuscitated multiple times during his stay in the hospital. Our little man celebrated his 1st birthday on August 28th this year.
I did not plan on the challenges I have faced being a Dad. I was not "ready" the night the Dr. told me to call my family and Pastor/Priest because they were going to TRY to save my wife and hopefully the baby too. But by the grace of God, I am now teaching my 14 month old son that when Daddy says "No", it doesn't mean to giggle and keep doing what he is doing. I have grey hair now and need to take medication for high blood pressure, but I would NEVER want to go back.
You will be fine.

Ease up man, it will be alright. Hell, I have two boys and more motorcycles now than when they were born. Had 2, now have 3!!! You won't have to get rid of your scooter. Your priorities will change and you won't be able to put the miles on like you have been, but it's all good. I still get to fool with bikes and cars, I'm just not on the road quite as much. Visit my homepage and you'll understand. My kids are great and funny as all get out. BTW, if the home test says pregnant, she's pregnant. Congratulations!!!!!!!

i am 28 now i have 2 kids, a 7 year old girl and a 6 year old boy, i did not plan either one but was happy as hell to be a dad. i married the girl i got knocked up(kinda wish i hadnt now lol)but thats another long story. well to make a long story short, when her and i were together we had times where money was tight and we had to make things work but i did not get rid of my drag car. granted it did not get raced as much but i was happy my kids were being raised with love and attention, and the car was there in the driveway when i went outside, i now have 2 sportys, seperated from the wife and i have custody of my kids, granted i dont get to spend piles of money on my bikes but she is still sitting in the shop ready to ride. i guess what i am saying is you dont have to get rid of your toy to have a kid its just your toy gets 2nd in the attention line behind the family. it will come natural i promise, and reps to you for doing anything for your kid, great quality not seen as much now a days. congrats bro.
take yer kid riding theyll love it mine do

My ex wife chose to have an abortion when our daughter was about three mths old. I think she was overwhelmed with having her first (and only) child. It was her decision and I did not try to influence her as it was tough enough already. I told her that I would support her either way. Our Daughter is now 21. We never mentioned it again but I know it screwed my ex in the head and I ofen wonder who my unborn would have been...

I don't really notice the budget being tighter because of my boys. Mainly because I don't see it that way. You'll be surprised how quickly your point of view will shift especially when you see the baby. I have no problem puttin my stuff off.
