Default 4 1/2 Inch Risers from ebay **BEWARE**

If like me you are on a budget and tend to go for cheaper parts, here's a classic by cheap by twice I found.

I bought these risers in 2011 and never got round to fitting them.

Anyway today I tried and at the point of torquing them up the threads stripped out on the the bottom 2 holes. They were not even close to the recommended torque, so this shows you how utterly crap they are.

This is also a major safety issue and I just would not trust anything from this seller now unfortunatley as he is contuniung to sell these risers.

They arrived without any real packaging, just a plastic bag and in a plain white box.

There were no instructions or anything else and the post part is oval not round. The threads were tapped directly into the pot alloy.

Here's the listing: alscycleparts http://www.alscycleparts.com/

So please, if you buy these risers get the correct length bolt and try and torque them up on the bench before fitting them to your bike to make sure you don't end up dead.
