2013 1200x is avalable in the USA!
My typo in an earlier post MiSTAKENLY listed the 2013 XL1200X Forty-EIght as "export only". The 2103 Forty-Eight is available in the USA.
Sorry for causing any confusion.

2013 domestic XL models
Per the 2013 Sportster Owner's Manual, the 2013 domestic XL models are:
XL 883L
XL 883N
XL 1200C
XL 1200V
XL 1200X
The 1200C line will also include an Anniversary Edition, a Limited A, and a Limited B.

how about a sport that is stripped down to resemble the 69 model and weighs under 480 lbs?

Someone had asked when the dealer meeting was. It is going on now so we should see the new bikes on the website in a few days. I know my dealer has the demo bikes starting Friday.

The unfortunate thing is that scoots like the Iron 883 are just about stripped down as they can be, to law. Sure, oil covers and strut covers can come off but for there to be any real benefits they need to start properly redesigning the stock parts and recycling parts like brakes from the XR.
