Default Vented or nonvented gas cap?

I want to order the pop up gas cap that so many of you have ordered from ebay, but when I searched I didn't see this covered....does my '06 1200C use a vented or nonvented gas cap?
Thanks for your patience with the dumb newbie...

Use the vented one or the bike will stall out.

I've got this one too and like it. Bought it from that seller and had no problems at all.

OK guys, time to educate me.

Unless you're talking California models (like I THINK Greenmeany has) with EVAP systems, why would you need a vented cap?

I thought that there was a vent hose that comes off the tank itself? Is that not the case anymore?

On my 05/1200C the cap is vented but the vent is input not output. The tank's vent line is output and there is a one way air and liquid check valve in the line. Without a vented cap, you will draw fuel and create a vacuum.
