I love you dedication to the springer front end. Everyone says they know someone running one but I never see pics...
I have a 48 and would love to run a springer too...

hey hf48-- i am looking for a thread i found last night-a member just got his LS springer..
and also i wanted to let you know i looked at some of the caliper set-ups from perf. machine and i think the correct one would be the 4 piston springer one-- not the 2 piston... i plan on calling them monday and will post the answer if anyone else is interested or pm you--and it looks like i am going to be the guinea pig for the twisted chopper springer---i will come back here and link the thread to the springer hardtail project when i find it...
EDIT: here it is....
not a rubbermount but he does have the led sled springer--

The tubes are fine on DNA,But the fork sliders/lower legs(whichever you prefer)with hidden axle have about three quarters of steel thread into an aluminum thread lower leg = total junk. The front end is a deal on wide glide trees, springs ,seat pipe and bushings,But when you buy DNA expect to change the fork sliders. The lowers are JUNK. thats just my personal opinion,But i have had two DNA 41mm wideglide front ends and have replaced the lower legs on both. This isnt part bashing,This is just honest opinion,There is the good and bad in DNA front ends.

I know this is a springer thread but when ppl say fork tubes,They aint talking springer.Im talking DNA wideglide like the one i have now,and i rebuilt the lowers less than a week ago on these before the next test run the take offs the new parts the finished tubes n legs DNA lowers ARE NOT SAFE.I have rebuilt and seen more of these rebuilt than any other front end,Check other forums for DNA results.Find a site that acceptes returns on DNA front ends, with or without mounting.I`ll give ten dollars.

I don't have a springer but have a ledsled hardtail, fender and oil tank. If Pat is making his own springers they are more than likely better then DNA otherwise, he wouldn't be making them.

I dont doubt it, A customized honda front end on a harley beats DNA,It dont take much.

i don't know about springer , but me personally don't like the hard tail from LS ,not talking about quality all my respect from the ledsled's crew, but if compare kk and led sled one next to the other you'll see the difference between them
