Default how not to rebuild a bendix

Well i was going to put my 81 back together and go 4 a ride today.
Got new tires put on my wheels yesterday and put them back on without a hitch. put my new bars on. no problems. adjusted pushrods and clutch. no problems. put a rebuild kit on my 40 mm benix adjustable main jet carb last night except the bowl. couldnt remember how the float spring went on. put that on this morning and put the jet in. put the carb on and its leaking when gas is on.

Yup this guy overtightened the crap outta the jet and cracked the bowl.

Now i wanna

i always gotta screw something up otherwise it would be 2 easy.

just throwin this out there but anybody got a spare?
dont like debrix that much and thats the only supplier i found that has one. prob have to bite the bullet and buy one but thought i might ask.
thanks
mostly just needed to vent

Also the accelerator pump passage nozzle is hard to blow through. can do it with very little compressed air but cant do it with my mouth. normal? or is it plugged? tried cleaning it with cleaner and compressed air but no change.

Yeah thanks 4 the link.
Emailed seller 2 see if one of the bowls will fit.
It looks like a 40mm adj main jet has a diff bowl than a 40mm non and a 38 with and without.
We shall see.
I searched ebay but i guess i suck at that about as much as rebuilding a carb.

List of genuine Bendix/Zenith dealers here:
http://www.zenithfuelsystems.com/dealers.htm
Better quality parts than the aftermarket.
Tech section on that site is helpful too.
