Default It started and ran, woot woot!

Got my son’s 1975 going again last night. It ran and he rode it around the neighborhood, still some bugs to work out, I’ll be asking a few more questions.

We finished putting the last few things together and adjusting things like the shift linkage since we went from forward to mid controls, put in some oil and bled the system, put in some gas, wheeled it out of the shop and hit the starter and damn, backfiring and a total no go, what the heck we thought. I started going over everything that could have gone wrong, did I get those cams in right, did my buddy do the valve adjustment right, was it timing, going to a dark place again. This has been our history with this bike, two steps forward one step back. So we roll it back in the shop and decide to check the valves, took off the push rod covers and then I thought hey we should have swapped the spark plug wires to see if that would fix it, we check them again and my son says hey the blue and pink wires on the coil here are reversed, could that be the problem? We blame each other for the mistake, just joking. We put the push rod covers back on, fix the wires on the coil, and walla! It started right up and ran. For clarity, we had previously installed an electronic ignition and coil. Thanks for all the help all.
