Default xr 1000 front end swap

so from what I have read it looks like the dual brake/adjustable front end of an '03 1200s should be a bolt on swap. Are there any issues length... that I am missing?
Thanks,
Roger

You will have to cut the lock eye off the lower triple tree and to make some steering end stops.

Yes, the XL1200S fork works very well. Too heavy for racing, but perfect for normal use.

German61 I see you are running different calipers tahn I have for my conversion, I have some HD 4 piston calipers any idea if they will mount up? I will be with the bike and all my parts later this week. Anyone know if I can use a 9/16 master with dual 4 psiton calipers? or will I need 5/8 or 11/16? It looks like the calipers I have may mount different than what you have shown in the photo above will I need and adapter plate?

Nice calipers, I dont know if these will fit. My original XR1000 front calipers work perfect to me...

But I have big probs with my rear brake. The lever arm of my Tarozzi rear set is too short for the original master cylinder, rear braking is very poor now.
I am looking for another master cylinder with a smaller bore diameter. The HD cylinders have not less than 5/8", I am looking for around 1/2". Any ideas?

Andreas
