Cafè wheels and tires on 2011
Hi all! Im converting my -11 Iron into a "cafè/brat", new custom tank, rear cowl, clip-ons etc... Today im running stock mags with Firestones. The look of those tires are nice, and the bike handles okey, but im having a little problem with vibrations in higher speeds, and they really dont perform the best in turns.
So, im thinking about maybe swapping my wheels for 18" front and rear, an det some other tires.
What are my options for 18" wheels? Do i need custom made wheels, or are there any on the market that i can bolt right on?
Any pics very appreciated also.

put some decent tyres on first, see how you go from there. Firestones are for appearance, not function.

16" rear wheel with a good tire dont give the overall profile i want, thats why i want to go up to 18".. also the that fit the cafe style much better.

What you probably want to do is switch to spokes and have a new rim respoked on there.
Check out what PAPA did to his Nightster.

Does anyone know if it would be possible to get a new hoop and spokes to work with the stock hub?

+1 IMO 19" front and 18" rear.
