Default bendix bowl Q

can i take the bowl off my zenith-bendix carb & set the needle valve or what ever with it still on the bike ????
also i was using the air hose around the carb & i blew some air around the bowl & i bunch of gas came out of the front of the carb ???????

Default Carb Adjustment

Yes you can but to be accurate it is better removed and flipped upside down, grab a 3/16" drill bit and use it as a gauge to set the float end gap, blowing High Pressure Air to the Carb Inards may result with Gas in your face...

there is a overflow hole on the bowl; if you blow air into it, it fuel will blow up the jet and out of the carb.

I also feel you will be better off doing the valve adjustment right the first time.

ok i took the carb off the bike took the bowl off & there is no float spring or needle spring or any thing not even a broken one
