Default Starter problems

ON starting my 95 1200 spits back the starter pinion gear with some bad crunching sounds once in a while. Do I need to rebuild the solenoid?

Default

It's a pain in the butt getting the starer off, but it sounds like you need to tear it apart and do a good inspection.
