Leaving Friday for a 1200 mile trip!
Mileage is piling up! Woooo! After 3 weeks of having the bike, I have 775 miles on her right now.
Leaving Friday for a 3 1/2 day approx 1200 mile trip up through NY to the Canadian border and back down through VT and Mass. I can't wait.
My new Memphis Shades Windshield and repaired Progressive 440 (from the totalled bike) are due in tomorrow. JUST IN TIME. Too bad I'll be doing the 1200 on the stock seat. My Mustang Vintage Wide is still on Back Order.

Good luck on your trip. Your arse is going to be a might bit sore. I remember going from Oakland, Ca. to Kingman, Az. on my stock seat. I had no hesitation on putting down the $200 or so dollars for the touring bucket seat.

I'm guessing that you will be taking 91 back down since you will be going through vermont and mass. if your into guns at all stop off at springfield mass. and check out the smith & wesson factory (my friend and i did that on our way back form laconia). unfortunatly they don't do tours unless you have a minimum of like 15 and you reserve it. but they do have a gun range and you can shoot almost any gun they make. i wanted to shoot the 500 when i was there but they took it off the shelf because the round was to big for their indoor range. they told me they used to take people outside behind the factory but they stopped that also. they are in the process of making a round that has less velocity they told me (i guess it will have less grain in it) that will be able to fire in the range. you don't need a gun liscence just a drivers liscence to shoot and it is about $25.00 to choose a hand gun and you have to buy the ammo and you can change to any gun you want as long as it is in the same caliper without having to pay another $25.00 but my friend changed calipers and they did not charge him. they only charged him for the other ammo he needed for the second gun. My friend told me the indian factory is in mass also, if that is true that may be cool to look at. anyway have a safe trip and have fun.

Man, you might want to buy a bicycle gel seat to sit on or a nice thick piece of sheepskin...I think your local dealer should frickin' loan you a seat for the trip...they really should have loaners until we can afford our aftermarket seats...the stock seat would be considered cruel and unusual punishment in the judicial system! Have a safe trip...and post pics!
