Lake Erie Sportster Ride - Year #7
Well... Are we gonna keep this tradition going? I guess after six consecutive annual runs, we are justified in calling it a "tradition!"
Memorial Day again this year?

I am looking forward to making my second Erie Run. Last year was great.
A couple other Michiganders found/acquired passports since last year.
Maybe they can make the whole trip/trip this year too!

The ride begins - for many of us - in southern Michigan (Dundee, Cabelas). We travel past Cleveland and spend the first night in Geneva, east of Cleveland. Some from Ohio join us there, or join up early the next morning. On day 2 we ride from Geneva into Canada, crossing at Buffalo, and spend night 2 in Canada, last year in London. Day 3 is variable. Most return home; some take other trips.
Anyone interested in following this thread should - RIGHT NOW - "subscribe" to this thread so that you are automatically notified of updates and conversations as the trip planning unfolds and the departure approaches. Once we get some expression of interest, if anyone wants to continue this ride, I'll post last year's itinerary and we can work forward to modify that as folks wish.
NOTE: For my good friends up north and in Canada, I've been in the Keys this winter and "bike week" is now underway at Daytona. The roads in the Keys are SOLID with bikes, so life is still good when you get south of the snow. Keep the faith!

Actually I believe shark doctor and I have a gentlemen's agreement. I will do the Erie run and he will do the Thumb tour.

We are getting together this weekend to try and get these rides on a calendar. And regardless I am going to try and do the Erie run. I will let you know the thumb date(s) as soon as I know. |

I been waiting for this post. Count me in have the week off before that weekend. So most likely will be coming over the top again. But things do change.
