Default warrenty issues

i was wanting to do some mods to my bike but dont want to lose the extended warrenty does anyone know??? id like to clip the rear fender and relocate the coil,tank lift....im really only concerned about the warrenty on the motor and trans......

I believe that to void the warrenty they'd have to show that the changes you made caused the issue being warrentied.

If you're in the U.S. - google - the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

Basically they can't just void the warranty just because you change things.

They can deny warranty coverage for a specific problem ONLY IF they can show your modification caused it.

So if you're talking about the fender and lights, I cannot conceive of a reason they would be able to deny a motor or trans issue.

The OP said extended warranty. Extended warranties are an insurance agreement and he may have agreed to terms and conditions which preclude some or all modifications. He needs to read the terms and conditions of the "extended" warranty.

GOOD CATCH - you're right there may be more terms and conditions on the extended.

HOWEVER, I'd still be surprised if there was anything that would be a problem for what he's talking about...
