As long as you are using a good quality oil and maintain the proper service intervals...save the money and ride some more miles.

used slick 50 in a car once. it had about 200 on the clock and was showing its age. i will say it helped that motor (403 Olds) go on for another couple years.
never used it in a motorcycle engine, but depending on the circumstances it could be helpful. aircraft guys have been using it for years and recommend it.

Oil additives are snake oil. Use the correct oil for your motor and you are good to go.

+1 on slick 50. When it came out my Dad used it in all his tow trucks, personal cars and all 7 airplanes he'd had.
Heck, I just put a quart in my Ford Ranger with 100K on it as I was a little low.

if you look, none of the engine manufacturers recommend using any of that stuff..... not Harley or Yamaha or Honda or Ford or Chrysler or GM or any other oem company....... and none of the oil makers recommend it either..... in fact, the only people that recommend it are the people that make it, or the few that buy into it

Of course they don't, they would rather have you buy THEIR brand.....
As for additives, I guess I'm one of the "few", I use Lucas Oil Stabilizer...
And am very happy with it.

I agree. Save your money and buy top quality oils.
Well-formulated motor oils contain a precise blend of high-quality base stocks and additives. Adding an aftermarket oil additive can upset this balance and potentially degrade performance. In addition, even a good-quality oil additive cannot dramatically improve an oil formulated with a poor-quality base stock. Aftermarket oil additives are not needed or recommended with AMSOIL synthetic motor oils. AMSOIL synthetic motor oils are formulated with premium synthetic base stocks and the optimum levels of anti-wear additives for maximum protection and performance.
