the bottom bike is my friends bike here in Michigan. It's in the new issue of The Horse BC magazine. He even made the cover! Pretty cool!

Very cool bike. One of the nicest bobs I have seen... I like the bikes with the copper and coatings aside from the standard chrome. Your buddy has excellent taste, I have been looking for my copy.

Can somebody tell me what type of carb setup that is in pic 5261, the top bike with the "dual" setup?

Get the latest copy of The Horse as this bike is featured in it, sorry lent my copy out already however I am sure there is more info on who built this bike in the mag.

not trying to say my 48 is a bobber. I just love the xlforum and thought I would pop over to the bobber section every so often to check out all the cool bikes over here. I usually hang out in the 07 & up section seeings mine is a 2010. Just noticed someone posted a pic of my friends bike so thought I would share a few more of his from the magazine and add my bike for reference sake. Some day I will be able to build me a true bobber. Sweet bikes in this section!

bobbers are what they are. cut downs. the 48 is already "bobbed" to a degree by the factory. thats compared to a standard sportster(and yes i know there are no standard sportys in the moco's current lineup.....just sayin'! )

so the dude ditched the front tin completely and added some bobber style stuff. i am fine with that.

obviously some bikes exibit varying degrees of modification. chopper, customs, bobbers, whatever. some bikes are pro built and others are homespun works in progress. we need them all!!!!
