Sure sounds weird to me unless more fuel was pouring onto the ground then into your carb. Almost makes you question the O2 sensor or the maybe something else occured

I agree...after I wrote that, I thought that can't be right. But it was the only thing I could think of that might explain that radical of a change in the AFR.

It is definitely weird. There was no fuel leaking out onto the ground.
The only theory that I have come up with so far is that the (air) leak some how affected the fuel level in the float bowl, and I had to over jet to compensate.
I imagine I'll pick up a few HP with better jetting (and no leaks).

I'm sending you another map to look at. After riding the last one I sent you for a while...don't bother with it.

that makes like no sense and you would see that much of a fuel leak out, but on the other hand it could pull more fuel now instead of air have you driven the bike since you have fixed this i wonder if you have a intake leak when its hot and when its cold it seals back up some what .that would give you a wearied reading.

Can the intake vacume create enough internal carburator negative pressure to actually cause aeration fof the fuel in the bowl? If it can, then the fuel being fed through the jets would also be a bit leaner.
Just trying to think it through?

yes it can and know that he has a good seal i think it will draw more fuel kinda like a venturi effect

As soon as I fixed the loose fitting my AFR became WAY rich. I have ridden it quite a bit after the fix and its always rich so I'm assuming there isn't an intake leak. I also think you're onto something about it being able to draw more fuel, maybe because the float bowl was over vented with the leak, the atmospheric pressure couldn't push the proper amount of fuel.
