take a stick or wire and insert in the hole, mark and measure, make allowances so it does not bottom out in the hole.

it seems like i've run across a number of posts where people are alluding to there being two different size bolts on the primary cover. i thought there was only one size bolt there.

i just took off the primary the other day to inspect and when i threw it back on, one bolt took a little more pressure than normal to get in. nothing drastic, but i thought this could account for it. maybe it was bent slightly?

couldn't find anything in the manual about it. probably just paranoid.

if you add the items to your cart and go to the check out it will display the part numbers.. alot easier to call a dealer and ask to order part # XZY than trying to explain "um yeah.. I lost 2 bolts on my primary, one is like closest to the front, but not the top one.... " You know what i mean, ya enjoy its alot of fun and a good reference when working on the bike as well.
