Default Rearsets

Well I just got a good deal on a set of xr1200 rearsets. They should be here early next week. I'm gonna try to fit them on my 883n. I know one side should bolt up but the other side I will probably have to fab some parts. I will let everyone know how it goes since I might be the first person to actually try this.

From what I remember you would need to weld on some bungs. Yes, remember pics. I really like the XR brake reservoir side.

There is a very old thread around here about the XR swing arm and someone in WA that put it in on a nightster. It looks like the XR swing arm can hit the XL passenger peg mounts on the frame. I have thought about it but I needed to get more riding in before I start screwing around with the bike again. If you get this to work this is going to be awesome.

I also thought about the XR front end and had it all priced from Zanotti but I then found a deal on ebay for all of Storz's stuff. It worked out in the end and was enough for me even though I don't have the adjustability of the XRX forks.

Looking forward to following this thread.

Well I got the rearsets in today and started the install and its not gonna happen. The shifter side I made a bracket to mount that one but the brake side the holes are a 1/4" off. I could cut one of the bungs off and reeled it but I really don't wanna do that. So I'm probably gonna just sell them and get the chai sickle setup. If anyone is interested in them let me know.
