Default New build, 48 inspired

I mentioned in my intro thread that I fell in love with the new 48 sportster when at the dealer buying my wife a new softail deluxe, I thought to myself on the way home that the only thing that would make the 48 cooler is if it was old, so the idea to build an old 48 inspired bike was hatched, I soon after bought a 75 Ironhead in a box off craigslist. I guess this will be my build thread.
Here are the very first mock up pics, I have decided to go with fatboy wheels as I love the solid wheel lookand I think it will fit with the theme, I am also upgrading the rear brake to disc, the front end is dyna wide glide trees and lowers with road king tubes [shorter]

Yes the front wheel is on backwards Should I black out the centers of the wheels?

Seems to have come full circle.

Wasn't the 48 inspired by a customized 60/70's XL (16/18 wheels, 2.2 tank, solo seat, etc)? Skip the 201x's and whip up a 60/70's vibe.

Talk about art imitating life imitating art. Neat.
